To REGISTER for this year's Belton Blast VI match
  • You will need a free GSSF Member ID #.    You can get this by going to https://user.gssf.pro/register/go
    • ​When you apply for your free Member ID#, you can fill in who referred you.  The first GSSF match you shoot, you will be entered into the New Member drawing and if you said who referred you, both will be entered into a free drawing for a Glock certificate.  Both of you must shoot the same match.
  • To enter a match, You must be a current GSSF Member.   After you get your ID #, you should be asked to join 
  • To register for a match, go to  https://gssf.pro/outdoor-matches/ 
    • Locate Belton Blast by either scrolling down the the "list of upcoming matches" or, you can "find a match" by using the option on the top of the page, "Find a Match."
    • Select "Register" 
    • ​Select the "Division(s)" you wish to enter ($30 each), then hit "Continue"
    • Just follow the rest of the directions.  After you pay, it does take some time for the payment to process.  You might want to scroll up or down to see if it has finished processing.

Overview - Glock Sports Shooting Foundation (GSSF)
 
Belton Gun Club is one of 66 clubs nationwide that host a GSSF match each year.    Glock matches are a particularly good fit for folks new to handgun competition.  More advanced shooters have plenty of opportunity to compete at their level and be challenged.  GSSF matches offer a fun way to build your skills and confidence.   
  • GSSF matches are safe
  • shoot from one position (no movement to other positions)
  • low ready or compressed ready (no holsters)
  • no need to change magazines while you are shooting
  • three stages to shoot
  • shooter can do their entries on either day or spread them over both days.  Typically, a shooter can finish a division in about 4 hours, or less.

 For safety, there is a Range Officer that will help answer your questions and make sure the gun is handled safely.

SERVICES at the match:
  • GLOCK ARMORER – GSSF provides a Glock Armorer at all Outdoor GSSF matches.  They will work on or fix any problems you are having with your Glock – for free.  They only use stock parts.
  • Hands on GLOCK DISPLAY - Glock Sales Representative will be set up in bay 6.  Great chance to ask questions and to place your hands on Glocks you are considering.  He will also let you fire them.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

TOP THREE JUNIOR AMATEUR'S, in the RIMFIRE Division, at this year's Belton Blast VI GSSF match, will each be awarded a prize from Belton Gun Club to celebrate their achievement.     2025
Young Marines will be at the match on Saturday, volunteering.  Once again, they will be selling meat sticks for their fundraiser.

Belton Gun Club  offers organized rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting.  2020 was the first year that we were able to bring a GSSF match to our club.  We are excited to continue to be able to  offer a GSSF experience.
Plan to come.  You'll like our competition bays.  We have two air conditioned club houses that have flush toilets.  Plus, to help beat the weather, we have car ports in each bay.   Bays are nicely maintained and have gravel in all bays.
So, what happened at the May 2024 Belton Blast V match...
  • A new match record of 574 entries (previous/last year was 554 entries)
  • A total of Five Glock Pistol Certificates were awarded to volunteers 
  • Another GSSF record - In the Glock Girls Division -  TEN Lady Masters competed, making this the first time to have Ten Lady Masters compete in Glock Girls.  GSSF awarded a pistol because the number of masters needed (10) to award a pistol was reached.
